The J&J Intralase iFS operates at 150 kHz to create LASIK corneal flaps with customizable diameter, depth, and side-cut parameters. Its inverted bevel-in side-cut design is intended to improve flap stability, and beyond standard LASIK flaps the system supports IntraLase-enabled keratoplasty, intracorneal ring segment channels, and corneal inlay pockets, using low energy and tight spot spacing to promote smooth stromal beds and faster healing.
